BIRTHDAY!!1
May 19, 2008
My birthday was unfortunately more embarrassing than last year, though some people forgot presents (which I don’t really mind). This year, my friends (i.e. ‘Cat’ [Anjeli + co. will obviously know who she is tehe] ) decided to write in enormous letters on the whiteboard, ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMBO‘. Thankfully, the pen wasnt working well and I managed to cover some of the whiteboard with the whiteboard eraser bits that stuck on, due to the fact that SOMEONE put glue on the whiteboard!
So firstly, I walk into the classroom and my friend ‘Chuck Norris’ (my nickname for her because she’s too awesome yeah I know you’re reading this!) decides to scream for no reason. Then I go and look at everyone else huddling around my desk and I wonder what they’re giggling about (i.e. What Cat is giggling about). It just happened that Anjeli bought me one of those REALLY expensive The Body Shop things in strawberry. I like strawberry, thank you very much!
Then Nai-Nai (my other friend) gave me a really, really pretty photo album. Me, not the most photogenic person, I plan to just use it for I dunno, me with people I like and me and my pets.
Chuck happened to buy me a little goodie bag thing, which contained a bottle of Skittles (yes I say bottle, since according to my theory, she decided to rip open the packet of Skittles and place them in the bottle, which I think is a bit ridiculous :)), some metallic navy blue nail polish from Boots?, a red-and-black checkered armband, and a teddy (which I will christen PATD Jnr.). To be honest, I pretty much liked the box most, with the exception of the teddy. (Haha only joking, Chuck).
The worst thing was thirty-one tone-deaf people (well maybe the ‘K’ only) singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to me, after my friend, Spaz, nicely reminded them.
I got some money from my Uncle, and £40 from Nguyen as well (which I have already donated to Oxfam, and have got told off in the process by my dad and his concerns that I used my debit card, lol) and a guitar from my mum and dad! YAYYYYYYYYYYY!
Well, okay the birthday wasn’t as embarassing as I think it is, since lots of people really remember it and celebrate it, which is nice.
Thank you, to whoever gave me a present, if you’re reading this - ILYSM!!! Only joking.
Friday 5 for January 4: Wrap-Ups
January 4, 2008
In 2007, who most made you laugh?
My friends and family (i.e. Nguyen :))
In 2007, who most inspired you?
The girl who was neglected in my class inspired me to stand up to some and look out for others.
In 2007, who taught you the most?
School life and life in general has really taught me the real lessons in life that we need to realise. Like you cannot stay silent forever and what you think is funny is not what someone else may think is funny.
In 2007, who encouraged you the most?
My parents definitely encouraged me to a large extent to just deal with the events revolving around me.
What did you do in 2007 that will have the most positive effect on your 2008?
I stood up to a bully. I made new friends. I learnt new important lessons in life. I realised that people care about me and overall 2007 has taught me to look out for others.
New Year ‘08
January 1, 2008
The New Year has finally come for the UK (well twelve hours ago but whatever). It’s a new leaf for me, I have to admit. I’ve been mean and unfair to some, and unnaturally shy to others (anyone who really knows me knows that I am rather an extroverted person) so I’m going to take 2008 as an opportunity to show the true side of me. Genuinely be myself, I guess. My second resolution (though it kinda connects to the first, main one) is that I should try to reduce my hatred for a certain MATHS teacher. Well, you would be annoyed when someone tells you off and humiliates you for not looking at them because they’re not actually teaching you at all.
Off on that subject and onto another! I was actually tired of going on the computer (I think I’m losing interest in this site :() and so I managed to convince my parents to take me to Birmingham, where I could see my cousin, Nguyen. I know I dislike my family very much, but Nguyen is an exception, since we share loads of similarities and he isn’t just annoying and stupid like Nathan. (Yes, I avoid seeing Nathan as much as possible) Nguyen, being more of a lonely person than me, recently convinced his parents to adopt a black and white kitten, called Mork (don’t ask, the shelter named the kitten). And, as soon as my parents saw Mork, they finally let me get a cat of my own! Originally, they had let me get a dog, but were not really keen on it, saying I really didn’t have the time to look after a dog, and that a cat was less maintenance, since they exercise themselves and are generally more independent. So I’m currently applying to adopt a kitten from my local cat rescue centre.
Okay and finally, site wise. I once again have to admit that I’ve been neglecting my site, but this is because that my main reason for running my site is blogging and I find that my life is too hectic and personal to talk about you know. And myspace has been winning me over in the “web world” as you might say. I’m trying my best though. I’ll be announcing SOTM today and will be making their prize today. So fingers crossed to anyone who applied!
Woooooooooooop

That is way too funny watch it. (Gay Zac Efron :P) Sorry Efron fans.
My auntie and uncle from VN have arrived in England. This is because my cousin will have a caesarian (sp?) on Wednesday. We don’t know if it is a boy or girl yet because she wants it to be a surprise. I just hope if it is a boy they haven’t decorated their room with dancing fairies if you know what I mean.
HSM 2 Premieres tomorrow I know its so late but I just want to snigger at it anyway and I don’t care because the UK gets everything last everytime. So yah.
Weird
September 16, 2007
Do you think its normal to have a dream about attacking your auntie over a Wacom graphics tablet?!
Maybe not. But I think I’ve gone insane. Enough about that. This is just a short blog. I’ll add more to this later.
Edit: I’ve added a plugboard. Enjoy!
Venice
August 11, 2007
I took down the valid XHTML. A not completely polite tag really just told me in the face that it wasn’t valid and that was true. I tried hard, but not hard enough. Anyway - I’ll tell you what happened in Venice!
Sunday: Arrive at cousin’s house ready for flight on Monday.
Monday: Leave at 11am and arrive in the afternoon in Venice. (4 hour flight since I have to switch) Get settled in the hotel.
Tuesday: Explore Venice. Go on a gondola (sp?) and be pointed out places like Marco Polo’s house and Casanova’s house.
Wednesday: Take a rest from Venice and visit Verona instead. See Juliet’s apparent balcony (Romeo and Juliet) and see the Roman Arena (1st century AD). Unfortunately, we didn’t visit the Arena since the line was about as long as the line to the Planetarium in London.
Thursday: Go see Venice again and stay in St. Mark’s Square. There are loads of pigeons but that doesn’t matter
Friday: Stay in Venice again until 3pm and check out of the hotel. Arrive home at 11pm.
Funeral
July 16, 2007
The funeral has been done today. I know its pretty quick, its because my parents wanted her to rest in peace and not just left in some fridge or something. We had a Catholic funeral, since my Grandmother was a devoted Catholic and without her, I wouldn’t have the religion anyway. This was a bit of a problem, since there were so many people at the funeral but only a fraction were actually Christian in a way.
So we went to the Church she attended since she came to the UK. In fact, I was baptised there but nevermind that. It was ENORMOUS. This was a good thing, since there were so many people. The minister was very kind and patient, and explained what happened at the mass to everyone. Lawrence (my uncle-in-law lol) - did the First Reading. Unfortunately he has a very deep voice, which didn’t help me understand his American-oriented slurs. Lynn (Lawrence’s wife - I can’t be bothered to check how her name is really spelt) did the Second Reading. We then had the Gospel, and then I did Bidding Prayers. I was a little upset but the Prayers made me feel better. My cousin then did a speech in Viet - I couldn’t understand
We then went to the cemetery, to see the burial. It was very emotional (emotional-emotional not MCR-emotional btw) and threw flowers. Auntie Lynn was overeacting loads. She was practically made out of tears. But she should be happu for my Grandmother. Her pain was finally over.
Janine, Daniel and Auntie Lan Huong (or Rosa) were just weird. They showed absolutely no emotion for Grandma. No sadness, no happiness, no anger - nothing. In fact they blackmailed everyone so they could go in the limo and they were singing in the limo on the way home from the funeral! Disrespect. :X Some people didn’t wear black or white but they wore dark colours which was okay. Apart from one spoilt niece called Jennifer, who wore Bratz jeans and a pink top. Yay.
Oh yeah. Janine, Daniel and Auntie. I’ll call them JDA for short (looks like PDA! ^-^;;) Were acting weird on Saturday. Saturday was the last time we could see Grandma before the coffin was sealed. Janine was crying. Not because of Grandma. Because apparently someone said she had a potbelly. Trust me she is thin. Daniel was crying. Not because of Grandma. Because someone told him something which provoked him to cry. Auntie. She showed no emotion. She was in fact rushing to get her children out of the Chapel of Rest so they can watch Harry Potter. Woo.
Me? I had mixed emotions. It was a happy yet sad day. I was happy yet sad. Sad because she was not visibly with us anymore. Happy that her suffering is gone and she can live with God.
<3 you always Grandma.
